Companion not connectedJob sites open in one reusable window. The optional browser companion brings capture and reviewed form filling back to this desk; it does not bypass site restrictions.
GTB separates candidate records, not the job website’s login cookies. Check the signed-in job-site account before every fill; use separate browser profiles when separate candidate logins are needed.
Set up the browser companion
Desktop companion 1.2.0 for staff and candidates. Choose your browser and check store availability. The local Chromium pilot below is not a browser-store installation.
- Download the GTB Application Companion and unzip it to a permanent folder.
- Open your browser’s Extensions page, enable Developer mode and choose Load unpacked. Select the folder containing manifest.json.
- Reload this desk, choose the candidate, open a job, then click the companion extension icon on that job page.
- Choose Connect to desk. For account creation only, enable Sign-up mode. Preview fields, review and select values, confirm the destination account, then fill. Nothing is submitted.

Access to the job page is granted by clicking the extension icon. No passwords, cookies, consent boxes or screening answers are captured or filled.

The recorded stage is employee-confirmed, not independently verified. Draft notes remain private; only the job reference is added to the tracker.
