Application Companion privacy notice
Version 1.2.0, 29 October 2026. This notice covers the GTB browser extension and its connection to your signed-in GTB Application Desk. The GTB privacy notice also covers your portal account and underlying records.
What the companion accesses
At your request, the companion retrieves recorded first and last name, email, phone, LinkedIn URL, current address and country of residence from the open, authorised GTB desk. Staff can work only with candidates they are authorised to access; the candidate desk supplies only the signed-in candidate’s own profile.
When you open the extension on a destination page, it reads that page’s URL and form labels, field types and available options to identify supported empty contact fields. The staff-only Capture vacancy action reads job-page content and sends it to the open desk for review. It does not save a vacancy automatically.
When information is shared
Previewing displays eligible values in the extension. Filling writes only the fields you selected into the destination website after your confirmation. That website can read filled values immediately, even before you submit. Its own privacy notice governs its subsequent processing; the extension cannot withdraw information already received by it.
The extension has no advertising, analytics SDK, remote-code loader or direct third-party API. It does not sell data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions. The desk still uses GTB’s authenticated portal APIs to check your session and retrieve records.
Temporary storage and controls
Profile values used in previews are held in background memory, not written to extension disk storage. Preview validity lasts five minutes and connection validity lasts 30 minutes. These are access-validity limits, not promises of immediate physical memory erasure at the deadline. New previews replace old previews, and disconnecting clears connection and preview state.
Connection metadata, including tab identifiers, candidate identifier, destination URL and connection time, uses browser-session storage where supported, or temporary memory otherwise. Closing a connected tab or navigating it clears the binding. Browser background restarts may require you to reconnect. Data you choose to copy using the desk’s Copy buttons is placed on your system clipboard and may remain there until you replace it.
Permissions and boundaries
GTB host permissions connect only the two GTB website domains to the exact staff and candidate desk pages. Active-tab and scripting permissions allow a user-initiated scan or fill on the destination page; storage supports temporary connection metadata. Browser-controlled pages, inaccessible embedded frames and unsupported custom fields may not work.
The companion does not fill passwords, one-time codes, CAPTCHA, payment details, consent checkboxes, uploads or sensitive screening answers. It does not submit applications or create accounts automatically. Close the popup or disconnect to stop using it, remove the extension through your browser to uninstall, and clear your clipboard if you copied details.
Questions and rights
Contact info@gaeltalentbridge.ie for access, correction, deletion and other privacy requests. Uninstalling the extension does not delete your GTB portal records or information already shared with another website; those are handled under their respective privacy policies.
